HELMINEN LEADS WISCONSIN STATE OPEN


Ryan Helminen from Appleton shot a bogey-free 66 to take a two-shot lead into the final 36 holes of the Wisconsin State Open golf tournament at the Eau Claire Golf & Country Club. The assistant pro at SentryWorld in Stevens Point made five birdies and 13 pars in recording the best round so far. First-round leader Eddie Terasa and amatuer Nick Krattiger are two shots back. Eau Claire native Brady Keegan missed the cut after shooting 85. He opened the tournament with an eye-popping 68.
